This is the letter I wrote to my boss today. I also accepted a new position with a new company. I’m really excited about the new opportunity, and cant wait for it all to start. I get a call from Mike around 3:30 this afternoon, and he wasn’t happy. He asked where I was going, why, and said he was very disappointed. I told him that I didn’t want to discuss where I was going, and that I’m truly sorry that he feels this way and I didn’t realize that he would react the way he did. I think he was just very shocked about the whole ordeal. Well, a new chapter in my career starts March 13th. Nice.. the letter: Dear Mike:
Thank you for the opportunity to work with you and your company. I just wanted to let you know that I have accepted a new position and my last day will be March 10th, 2006. I will do all that I can to make the transfer of my responsibilities go as smooth as possible within the next two weeks to whomever takes over my position as Office Manger.
Again, I just want to say thank you for the opportunity for allowing me to work with you and your company.
