So I was bored tonight, Ricky was at work so I decided I wanted to go up to Riverside to check out some Ice Hockey at Ice Town. Watching those guys play made me want to play so bad. Watching the action, with my camera in hand I started taking some shots. I did that for about 2.5 hours watched 4 games in all (2 playing at the same time), and I walked by the information box, the front desk if you will, and I stopped. I wanted to go up to the window and ask about information about beginner hockey.
I pussed out. I walked right by it. So I went to my car, gathered my thoughts, and went back in. Took more photos, then walked by the bulletin board. I looked and looked for hockey info to none available. So I went up to the window and knocked on the glass. I asked the lady if she had any info about beginners hockey. She said that she didn’t, but the hockey director was there.
So she came out of her office and introduced me to Garth, the hockey director at Ice Town in Riverside. I told him that I was interested in playing hockey, and that Ive never done it before. He asked me if I’ve ever ice skated before, and I told him that I have a couple of times. He said thats cool, and that I was off to a good start and that I should come on Tuesday nights, from 10PM-11PM for into to hockey program. It costs $15. He told me that I need to bring full gear. I’m going to go, as soon as I get all my gear in order. I have the helmet, shoulder pads, pants, stick, gloves, cup, but no skates, shin guards, or elbow pads….
Hockey, watch out, there a new player in town, here I come!
