This was done on the HTC Titan (Verizon xv6800). It may work for others as well, but I’m not sure.
The problem was this: I take mostly landscape photos with my phone, but the phone would always save the image as a portrait. I hate having to go in and rotate each image, so I wanted to change the default to landscape.
This is how to do it.
- Download and copy FdcSoft’s Task Manager to your device.
- open TaskMgr

- Select RegEdit from the drop down list on the top right

- Browse to HKLM/Software/HTC/Camera/Image

- Find and open EnableEncodePortrait

- For Portrait as default use 1, for landscape as default use 0 (zero).

- Hit Done, Close Task Manager, and soft restart your device.
Thats it!
Hope this helps ya!
