It was a beautiful day, with temps around 73 or so, not a cloud in the sky! It was awesome. Im starting to get more comfortable on the bike, yet I know I have a lot to learn, but practice makes perfect. All in all it was a great day.

On Sunday I was heading home from my Ice Hockey game at IceTown in Riverside and I was amazed at how beautiful of a day it was. I decided to take a detour from my normal route home and head up Ortega Hwy, West of Lake Eslinore, CA.  I got up to the Lookout Roadhouse and snapped a Panorama of Lake Elsinore as seen below.

I was on my way down the hill when I decided to pull over and snap a few shots of the street bikers that were storming the hill.  Keep in mind this was my first time shooting street bikes so the results leave a lot to be desired, but I had fun. I can tell, I have a lot to learn and I look forward to doing so.

Of all the photos, I think I like this one the most.. I dont know why, it just jumps out at me as being the best of the day.

It may work for others as well, but I’m not sure.

The problem was this: I take mostly landscape photos with my phone, but the phone would always save the image as a portrait. I hate having to go in and rotate each image, so I wanted to change the default to landscape.

This is how to do it.

  1. Download and copy FdcSoft’s Task Manager to your device.
  2. open TaskMgr
    Screen001
  3. Select RegEdit from the drop down list on the top right
    Screen002
  4. Browse to HKLM/Software/HTC/Camera/Image
    Screen01
  5. Find and open EnableEncodePortrait
    Screen02
  6. For Portrait as default use 1, for landscape as default use 0 (zero).
    Screen03
  7. Hit Done, Close Task Manager, and soft restart your device.

Thats it!

Its nothing major in my opinion, but it is annoying. When ever I click on “Always display images from …” Gmail seems to forget and next time I get a message from whoever I want on the safe list, it asks me again.  Gotta love it.

Apparently Google is aware of the situation.
